Today the girls scouts made soap for the first time. We had to make something special for our mothers for the annual Mom and Me Holiday Tea, and many mothers suggested we make soap for the girls to give to there moms at the party. They wanted to give something that was useful, cool, handmade, and that smelled nice. I will update more photos of the Mom and Me Holiday Tea later during the week.
My friends are part of the Schlumberger Spouses Association (or better known as SSA), and thought it would be nice to offer a soap making class to all of the women. It was a huge hit, everyone enjoyed the class and went home with really pretty soaps. They had so much fun that they wanted to sign up for a candle making class in October. I will keep you posted with photos of the next SSA class.
I was asked my Karen Palko to do summer school for ISKL. I was very excited, and accepted her offer. I started planning what kind of activities we would be doing for three days. I finally decided on melt & pour soap, nail polish, and liquid soap. I make paint can kits for everyone in the class, and added a little present inside as well. They had the best time in class and told the rest of the school what they were making. I was very proud of my soap making class, and decided to have more soap classes in the future.
