We use high quality natural soap bases made with vegetable oils. They are not tested on animals and contain no animal products (except the goats milk soap), detergents or sulphates.
Please note this class is not about making soap completely from scratch by the Cold Process method. To make soap in this authentic way involves the use of caustic soda and a curing process that takes several weeks. The soaps we sell are made in this way. Cold Process soap making will be the subject of another class in the future.
What to bring
Dress comfortably, wear closed shoes and bring your own apron, as we are working with dyes, fragrances and hot soap bases.
This is a basic introduction to melt and pour soap making, and no prior experience is needed. All materials and notes will be provided. You just show up and be ready for some soapy fun
About The Teacher:
Magdoline Hammad started her soap making addiction back in 2005. After her children were all diagnosed with eczema, Magdoline sought alternative skin care that would help soothe their irritated skin. She began researching the harmful ingredients found in all commercial soaps and decided to give soap-making a try. Since then she’s been making endless batches of soap, perfecting her skills and recipes. She has a passion for cold process soap, but also enjoys trying new things, and learning new techniques.
Many years later, and after reading every book on the planet about every method of soap making, she finally decided to start teaching others her love of all natural handmade soap making.
